Our Favourite bars

Val d'Isère has a huge number of bars and new ones are opening each season! Sometimes you just lose count of how many there are!

Those listed below are a selection of our favourites that have stood the test of time. But like restaurants they are very much a thing of personal taste and preference.

Most of the bars noted have Happy Hour prices and the times of which seem to be conveniently varied from bar to bar throughout the late afternoon into the early evening!

Favourite Bars

The Blue Note - English run bar with quiet background music and Leffe beer.

Pacific Bar - English run and a ‘must’ for watching sport on TV.

Bar XV - Small, typically French bar with rugby theme. Friendly staff and pleasant ambience.

Moris Pub - Very much an English style pub, with great live music during après-ski and later on at night.

Le Petit Danois - A favourite with Scandinavian visitors, it has wickedly strong beer and two pool tables.

Victor’s Bar - The Swedish know how to have a good time. Come here for ‘two for the price of one’ cocktails during happy hour; great for good value food too.

Bananas - Everyone has heard of Bananas. Hugely popular for après-ski, especially for the younger age group. Right on the edge of the piste, you can ski in and fall out later. Backgammon boards available if you fancy a quieter après-ski. Mexican food available for lunch or dinner.

La Rosée Blanche - Across the river at the bottom of La Daille ski area, a warm and cosy recovery bar with the best Vin Chaud in the resort.

Le Lodge Bar - Le Lodge has happy hour drinks and just enough space to prove that you can dance in ski boots.

Hotel Blizzard - Cosy and luxurious in a beautifully decorated lounge/bar. Chic and relaxing, this is the place to go for a glass of champagne or special afternoon tea or hot chocolate.
